Over the past six years at Intrepid, Aaron Mentzer has planned and executed public relations and involvement campaigns for numerous transportation projects across the state, such as the I-215 west belt in Salt Lake County, U.S. 40 in the Uintah Basin, and I-70 in Sevier County. Projects have ranged from city street widenings and intersection improvements to full reconstruction and widening of major urban interstates. He works closely with the UDOT Communications team, helping to plan and execute campaigns to inform Utahans about projects and building goodwill for the department.
Aaron also works as a research analyst, gathering and evaluating data applicable to steering the course of a successful outreach campaign. His research has won two Golden Spike awards for its essential role in effective communications campaigns.
Before joining Intrepid, Aaron worked for the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) as a community involvement specialist, where he managed all public involvement activities in support of the $550 million Red Line and Blue Line light rail expansion projects.
Aaron earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
