Intrepid Takes Top Honors at 2016 Golden Spike Awards
Agency claims eight awards; SNAP campaign named Best of 2016
SALT LAKE CITY (Dec. 1, 2016) — Intrepid, a Salt Lake-based strategic communication firm, garnered eight Golden Spike Awards, including Best of Show, and six finalist honors at the Golden Spike Awards on Thursday, Dec. 1.
Intrepid claimed more Golden Spike Awards than any other agency, corporation, government entity or nonprofit organization for the 10th consecutive year. It also marks the third straight year Intrepid was honored with Best of Show.
The agency was awarded Golden Spike Awards for public relations, advertising, interactive and social media for clients including the Utah Department of Transportation, the Student Neighborhood Access Program (SNAP) and The Road Home.
Intrepid received Best of Show honors for its strategic, integrated approach to promote the SNAP, which helps foster safe walking and biking to and from school across Utah. Intrepid also won Best of Show honors in 2015 for SNAP, and, in 2014, Intrepid and the Larry H. Miller Group received the designation for their “Undercover Boss” campaign.
The Golden Spike Awards, sponsored by the Utah chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and International Business Communicators (IABC), are Utah’s most prestigious and recognize the best communication campaigns and tactics. Award winners were selected based on judges’ scores in the categories of research, planning, execution and evaluation.
