“Ready. Set. Vote.” Campaign

THE SITUATION

UCUA is always looking out for Utahns and helping them achieve their dreams. While communicating the benefits of credit unions is one of their top priorities, the UCUA also understands that all Utahns benefit when they’re civically active and register to vote.

THE SOLUTION

Our marcomm team created an engaging campaign to encourage Utahns to register to vote.

THE WORK

We created the theme and branding for “Ready. Set. Vote.” and kicked off the campaign with an event at the Utah State Capitol which was directed at the public and the legislature. Included in the campaign and event:

  • Microsite with link to voter registration page

  • Direct mail

  • Outdoor advertising and event banners, including some on the capitol steps

  • Geo-targeted digital advertising

  • Point of purchase materials for credit unions

  • T-shirts, lanyards and buttons for credit union employees to wear during campaign

THE RESULT

  • Exceeded media coverage goal by 75%

  • Surpassed credit union employee voter registration goal by 20%

  • Exceeded overall voter registration goal by 665% (11,500 new registrants during a non-presidential campaign year)
